Looks like Hiro wasn't phased that much from Gulus's appearance or rather he is going as far as wanting to purposely invoke him if it means getting the information he needs on the Digital World. So much for being cautious since it seems Hiro already understood his responsibility given to him by his father.

Meanwhile, it seems Gammamon has yet to understand that Bokomon is gone with Hiro and the others having to tell him Bokomon went on a journey. This journey thing comes up quite a bit this episode likely this will come back up later.

Why not? Gulus killed a guy who absolutely deserved to die and then attempted to peace out, he only attacked the others after they attacked him. And unlike with previous digimon dark forms, Gulus is completely lucid and deserves to be heard out.

I agree and I think that's what Hiro was thinking too (maybe) because he seemed to have some sort of connection with him but he controlled himself at least that’s what it looked like to me.

God, between Gammamon not understanding Bokomon died and Koemon crying because his one friend wasn't around, I just about lost it myself. Glad Granny is okay but I wonder why she could see him when no one else could.

Simple, Koemon's simply not materialized enough to have a concrete form that's not sometimes semi-transparent, likes going out when it's dark outside, and most likely not show himself fully to people who he doesn't trust

There is gonna be a future episode about loss, death and Gammamon possibly learning what really happened to Bokkomon (hopefully without GurusGammamon / GrusGammamon appearing), isn't it?

Well Digimon reborn, but same personality won't be for that digimon, and yeah it's dark topic for childish digimon.

Might be even worse BECAUSE they're reborn, the only thing that gets reborn is the body itself and if they have it, their soul. The mind gets completely wiped. Imagine you have a wife, she dies, then a few days later you met the same person except she doesn't even know you

This episode was a bit sad because it's really hard to explain a literal child what the concept of death is... sure, Bokomon is not 100% dead and he will return to life once more, but the Bokomon they know is forever gone, so even then, this episode was good in a sense to explain that death is indeed just another type of journey.

Also, next episode looks to be very dark with Ruli under the spotlight, will this be the moment Angoramon has been waiting for his entire life? We'll find out next week.

Well my parents never explained it to me either let alone sugar coat it. They just showed me where my grandpa from my dad's side was. I guess I understood death at a very young age so I'm desensitized to it.

Phelesmon is an interesting digimon to show up next episode, less than likely talk-no-justsu will work on this guy

"UMI DA!". As soon as I heard that I prepared myself for the "obligatory beach episode" scenes and stuffs, but surprisingly this is even milder than AoT season 3 part 2 beach episode.
Never expected Koemon to be a Virus digimon. Sure, its champion-level is a pirate and Virus-like, but the rest of its stages look like Data digimon IMO.

I appreciated this slightly bittersweet breatherr episode after the last one. Still had me tearing up. I hope we see Koemon again, so cute.

I love the mature storytelling. It doesn't need to be as dark and edgy like last episode to appeal to an older audience. This was tender and sweet.
